The Red Back Range of RIBs (rigid inflatable boats) was developed by Swift Marine over ten years ago as a quality range at an affordable price. High quality German PVC coated 1100 decitex fabric in white and grey and a proven gleaming white powder coated aluminium hull combine to offer a range of dinghies that are stable, strong and long lasting. They row well, motor well and tow well and have a large band of loyal owners especially in Queensland where they were first introduced. Light weight combined with never fail design and build make Red Back RIBs the best value on the market today.

Features

The high quality PVC tube has fully welded seams for life long service even in the tropics. Many other PVC inflatables only have glued seams and this is a real no no with this type of fabric. Ask any repair station and they will tell you. PVC…must be welded. It should also be noted that Red Back is built from Quality Haku PVC inflatable boat fabric which is made in Germany by Mehler. Tests have shown that this fabric outlasts virtually all other PVC inflatable boat fabrics especially those coming in from Korea and China.

The Red Back aluminium hull is craftsman built on the Gold Coast by Swift Marine and then chromated and powder coated with top quality coatings. Lifting and towing points are welded to the structure prior to coating as are options such as anchor wells or tank trays. The transom has long been a problem with certain inflatables in the past but the design of the Red Back is such that it will never let you down. Finally a keel strip is supplied as a standard feature on most Red Backs to ensure the hull will never mark your deck when loading it on board.

The seat is aluminium for lightness and strength and the aluminium collapsible oars are folded and stowed on the outboard sides of the tube to ensure they are out of the way under motor but ready for use should the need arise. Handles and ropes are fitted in varying positions depending on the model and a self draining one way bung is a standard feature on all models. A pump and repair kit are also supplied as standard equipment.

Stinger

The stinger hull has a flat floor welded into the hull for strength and comfort. It also allows all water, sand etc to drain into a sump under the floor so your feet stay dry.

Flyweight

The Flyweight is the same basic hull, but it has no flat floor keeping weight to a minimum. This is a seriously light dinghy.
